Jay Burnette Assumes Leadership of T.F. Hudgins Incorporated
HOUSTON, TX, USA (January 28, 2016) – Jay A. Burnette has been named President and CEO of T.F. Hudgins, Incorporated, a provider of engineered product and service solutions for machinery used in a wide range of industrial applications. Burnette succeeds Ted R. Edwards, who retired as President and CEO at the end of 2015.
Burnette assumed the role January 1 following a transition process that began in the third quarter of 2015. He becomes only the fourth president in the history of the company, continuing a legacy of seamless, stable leadership dating back to founder Thomas Frederick Hudgins in 1947.
Burnette has over 20 years of leadership experience in industrial businesses, most recently serving as President of Waukesha Bearings, a designer and manufacturer of engineered hydrodynamic bearings, magnetic bearing systems and seals for turbomachinery. He holds an MBA from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a BS in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Purdue University.
“I’m honored to take the reins of an organization with a heritage of exceptional service and innovation,” said Burnette. “The experience, expertise and technologies we offer make T.F. Hudgins uniquely qualified to help customers improve the reliability, performance, safety and environmental compliance of their equipment and processes. Moving forward, we’ll continue to invest in people and resources to expand our capabilities and keep T.F. Hudgins as the go-to solutions provider for industrial machinery.
“I’d also like to thank Ted for his vision and contributions to T.F. Hudgins as he guided the company through a period of unprecedented growth. His leadership fostered expansion of our business while protecting the principles and culture that make this company especially valuable to customers and rewarding for those who work here.”
Ted Edwards concludes over 44 years of active service to T.F. Hudgins. He remains as Chairman of the Board of Directors and a major stockholder of the company.
“On behalf of everyone at T.F. Hudgins, I congratulate Jay on his appointment,” said Edwards. “I’m confident that his skills, strong core values, and leadership will continue the legacy of excellence our company has enjoyed for over 69 years and spur the next phase of growth and achievement for the company.”
